Last week, as part of our Chinese New Year celebrations (which takes place on Tuesday 1st February) Mandarin Club pupils have enjoyed learning about and making Chinese dumplings. Following a demonstration from our Mandarin teacher, pupils were able to decide how to shape their dumplings. Last week, on Thursday 27 January, it was Holocaust memorial day. This day marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. During last week’s assembly (now on our Assemblies webpage), Mr Johnson spoke about the Holocaust as well as genocide throughout history.
