HMS athletes braved the cold and snow showers running in the County Cross Country Championships this week. HMS had four runners who finished in qualifying positions to compete in the Inter-County Championships in Middlesbrough. Year 5 had a brilliant workshop with Deanna Van Der Velde who is the Director of Newcastle Council of Faiths. The children loved finding out all about Judaism including Kosher food, visiting the synagogue and the Torah. The children’s cartoon menorahs were everybody’s favourite! We were delighted to see so many early birds coming in out of the cold and accessing laptops for revision purposes this week. Our first two sessions were well attended and there was a really lovely, positive atmosphere (and lots of breakfast snacks were consumed!)
