Final Update from Spain

On the final day of the Spain trip, all of the group enjoyed an action-packed day at Port Aventura Theme Park. The HMS rugby teams continue to enjoy huge success! The Year 8 girls’ rugby team won all of their games at this week’s competition and emerged as the regional champions. The group had an amazing day exploring Barcelona yesterday. The main part of the day was a visit to Sagrada Familia which was an awe-inspiring experience for everyone. To launch their ‘Earth and Space’ learning, Year 5 visited the Great North Museum in Newcastle this week. The children enjoyed a space-themed workshop led by museum staff, a visit to the planetarium and had a chance to explore the other museum exhibitions.
