Year 6 Football
Last night, Mr Nichol led a group of 19 boys to Prudhoe CHS to compete in a football tournament. The boys split into two HMS teams and both teams represented the school brilliantly. HMS Carol Service
You are invited to our wonderful Carol Service which will take place on Tuesday 17th December at 7.00pm at Hexham Abbey. BBFC Competition
Miss Taylor was very proud of the entries to the recent national cinema competition. Launched by the BBFC and Paramount, the winners will see their artwork displayed in cinemas around the country. We have had pupils in the top 10 nationally in previous years, so we have our fingers crossed for more success this year! Well done for all of
Stargazing Evening
It was a very exciting night at HMS as we hosted our first Stargazing Evening with Kielder Observatory. It was great to welcome lots of families to enjoy the event which involved visits to the planetarium and using the telescopes. Despite the cloudy evening, everyone enjoyed themselves and the cloud did clear a little for our second session! Thank you
Dog’s Trust
It was great to welcome the Dog’s Trust into school once again today. Year 5 enjoyed interactive workshops focused on recognising behaviour in dogs and how to approach dogs carefully and respectfully. It was a very useful session which the pupils enjoyed. #Respect #Engage #Aspire

Head of School Awards
This month’s Head of School Awards focused on great speaking skills – speaking is one of our core ‘Skills Builder’ themes and a whole school focus as we aim to develop oracy skills. I was delighted to see the children being recognised for their efforts in school. It was great to celebrate the positive contribution each pupils makes to our school community – I am very proud of them
