Remembrance Day – Make Your Own Poppy

Do you want to help with our 2023 Remembrance Display in school?  Pupils and parents/carers are invited to get creative to design and make your own poppy. Designs could include: Knitted or crocheted products  Poppies made from card, paint, tissue paper, fabric  Use of upcycled products Red, white or purple poppies. As a school, we’ll be remembering and honouring service this November. From next week, pupils will be able to purchase poppies and other items in support of the Royal British Legion. I Believe in Unicorns…

‘I Believe in Unicorns….’ Year 5 had a wonderful morning on Wednesday as they visited Queen’s Hall, Hexham to enjoy a mesmerising show from award-winning storyteller, Danyah Miller. The show brings to life Michael Morpurgo’s famous novel and is set in a library full of books. The show combines powerful themes of bravery and imagination and is an enchanting production.

Pupil Success in Racing!

Edward was racing in the final round of the British Championship at the weekend and we were all immensely proud to hear that he has finished 3rd in the Championship overall. As a result of this, Edward has earned a prestigious ticket to represent Team UK in the Rotax World Championship Finals in Bahrain.  Everyone at HMS continues to be so

Last night was our HMS PTA AGM. It was great to reflect on another very successful year of fundraising and events. The HMS are really part of our school community and we value their support so much. Warhammer Club

Warhammer Club is thriving.  This week, there was a real buzz in FA2 -a special thank you must go to Mr Nichol who leads this club and to Mr Forster for helping out! We have great staff at HMS who support our extracurricular offer so brilliantly. It was fantastic to see so many pupils really engaged with this opportunity.
