Year 5 had a brilliant workshop with Deanna Van Der Velde who is the Director of Newcastle Council of Faiths. The children loved finding out all about Judaism including Kosher food, visiting the synagogue and the Torah. Y6 Early Birds club

We were delighted to see so many early birds coming in out of the cold and accessing laptops for revision purposes this week. Year 5 Team Building

Our Year 7 pupils have been out and about this week as part of their microclimate project. In geography lessons, pupils have been out in the school grounds collecting data using digital anemometers to measure wind speed and temperature. Newcastle University – The Brain Game

It was great to welcome Newcastle University back to HMS yesterday. Year 7 enjoyed workshops focused on neuroscience and the brain. Pupils were learning about the different brain lobes and their functions.
