KS3 Cricket Success

Our KS3 cricket teams were representing HMS yesterday and Mr Cameron was very proud of the teams.  The girls’ team won their group and progressed to the final where they were narrowly beaten. Year 8 Sports Leaders

Our Year 8 Sports Leaders were superb when supporting at last week’s Year 4 ‘Quad Kids’ athletics transition event.  Year 4 pupils from local first schools visited HMS for a great morning of athletics. Our Year 8 pupils were phenomenal role models and were widely praised by visiting teachers.  Well done for being such brilliant ambassadors for HMS! #Respect #Engage

House Winner

It’s another P-Point victory for Coquet House this half term, although it was very close!!  Pupils in Coquet can wear non-uniform (if they want to) on Thursday 23rd May (not Friday due to year group photographs for Year 5 and Year 8!).  There’s still plenty of time for the other Houses to close the gap with Coquet, and we have our

Pupil Success – NUFC

HMS were in action in the ESAA Schools Cup for track and field this week. The weather forecast was for heavy rain but thankfully we completed the competition in only light showers. Well Done Year 6!

We are so proud of our Year 6 children – they have worked so hard all week and have approached their assessments with a ‘can do’, positive and resilient attitude.  It was great to invite Tyne Valley Ices back this afternoon as a special treat to celebrate their hard work. It’s Reward Day tomorrow and we’re looking forward to celebrating! 

HMS Ofsted Inspection 

As you know, Ofsted visited our school in April. I always say that we have so much to be proud of at HMS – engaged, enthusiastic and positive pupils who love learning; dedicated and highly-skilled staff who go the extra mile for our pupils and a supportive wider school community for which we are very grateful. To have that sense
