We’ve reached the end of another school year and it’s a great opportunity to reflect and be thankful for everything we have achieved. The last few weeks have been packed full with Sports Days, Skills Builder Days, trips/visits and even residentials… not to mention our Year 8 leavers’ events – it’s been the best way to end the year!
A huge thank you must go to our pupils who make HMS such a special place to work and learn. Once again, they have engaged so well in their learning and the wide range of opportunities on offer to them. They are a joy to teach and have around school. A special good luck to our Year 8 pupils who make the move to high school and to those pupils moving on to new schools after the summer – we’ll miss you all.
Thank you to all of our parents/carers and the wider school community for your continued support of all we do. Your support and positivity are always valued by all of us – we are grateful for all you do. A special thank you to our outstanding PTA who have worked tirelessly once again to raise funds for school life. This year, long-standing members Kate, Lorna, Karen and Lucy will be moving on after years of support – they will all be hugely missed and we thank them for everything.
None of this would be possible without a true team effort and that’s exactly what we do at HMS. Our staff team go above and beyond to make sure that we are the best we can be. I am very lucky to have such a dedicated, supportive and driven team who make HMS such a great place to be. Every single one of them deserves a well-earned summer break and I know you’ll echo my appreciation.
This week, Mr Scott had a range of photographs on display at the Year 8 Leavers’ Party and it’s always amazing looking back at how much we have squeezed into a school year. HMS really is a very special place and I continue to be so proud of our school. Have a great summer break everyone – we look forward to seeing everyone back on Wednesday 4th September 8.40am.
Thank you for everything.
