After a great morning of cricket from both the boys’ and girls’ teams, the competition was brought to an abrupt halt in the afternoon due to heavy rain!
The girls managed a win against Highfield and a narrow defeat to St. Matthews.
The boys’ team won both of their morning games and were halfway through their semi-final against Corbridge, where they put in an excellent bowling and fielding performance. Then the rain came and we weren’t able to finish the job! Hopefully, this event can be rearranged to give them the chance to progress to the next round.
Well done to all players who were excellent throughout. A special thank you must also go to our Year 8 leaders: Lucy H, Lucy M, Patrick and Noah who were fantastic umpires and coaches.
