Leavers’ Assembly 2023
WOW – what an assembly! Mr Scott, Miss Lamont and the Year 8 team were delighted to host this year’s Year 8 Leavers’ Assembly and what a celebration it was. Pupils were recognised for their achievements across the curriculum this term, as well for their P Points, Extra-Curricular Engagement and Attendance. In addition, we awarded our special Jean Barnett Award and the Sports Day and House Cups. Aln were double winners this year and the cups will display blue ribbons for the next year!
Mr Scott also presented a walk down memory lane as we looked back at photographs of the year group from the pupils’ time at HMS. A special mention must go to Charley who performed an outstanding song for the year group (accompanied by Mr Holdsworth on guitar) – well done! Mr Scott even arranged a very special video message from Mr Barry who is always keen to be updated on the progress of the year group – it was great to hear from him again!
Mr Scott has loved his first year at HMS and has given our Year 8 pupils such a great end of year to celebrate their time at our school. He is very proud of them all – we all wish them every success as they move onto high school!
