Newcastle University’s Dove Marine Laboratory’s Summer Schools are back with a bang this year!
Learn about marine science and the natural environment in a fun-packed week, investigating the animals and plants that inhabit our oceans!
You will explore marine life first-hand on local rocky shores, in the University’s aquarium and by using microscopes, and undertake your own research investigation.
You will also have the opportunity to meet professional marine biologists, go on field trips, make new friends, and be creative with games, art and exploration.
There are two, week-long summer schools for budding marine scientists:
- Splashdown KS2 (age 9 -11) – Monday 26th to Friday 30th July
- Splashdown KS3 (age 11 – 14) – Monday 9th to Friday 13th August
The Summer Schools are a great way to immerse yourself in the world of marine science and be inspired by the wonders of our blue planet!
