On Friday afternoon, our year 7 girls attended a Maths4Girls online webinar event. The aim of the event was to inspire and encourage girls to take maths beyond GCSE by introducing them to female role models from sectors that have historically been male dominated and to demonstrate that both boys and girls are great at maths. We have two fascinating guest speakers who wish to share their career journey and explain how relevant maths is now in their current role. To end the session, pupils were invited to take part in a Q&A. .
We really enjoyed listening to our guests share insights and tips to motivate and inspire our pupils to make informed decisions about their future.
