On Friday lunchtime, we had a Chess focus in Online Games Club. There was a real buzz with some pupils learning how to play chess for the first time. We still have some space to fill alongside our regulars – we are a friendly bunch. Operating on a first come first served basis, feel free to pop in, after your lunch sitting. We meet in Orchard 5 Computer Room.
Playing chess helps:
- exercise both sides of the brain;
- increases creativity;
- develops problem solving skills;
- improve concentration;
- enhance memory; and
- to teach planning and foresight.
