Year 7 Girls’ Rugby: Champions Cup
On Thursday afternoon the Year 7 girls were in Champions Cup action! In their first rugby league tournament, the girls were up against Churchill, Seaton Sluice, John Spence, Whytrigg and Ponteland.
The girls were phenomenal! They won 3-0 against Churchill, 3-0 against John Spence, 3-2 against Ponteland, and drew the other two games. This leaves the girls second in the table heading into the second and final day of fixtures next month.
Their attitude effort and commitment was incredible all day long!!
Year 8 Girls’ Rugby: Thunder Cup
On Thursday evening the Year 8 girls started their Thunder Cup campaign with an entertaining 20-12 win over Studio West in a replay of last year’s final. The girls displayed their trademark tenacity in defense and scored some great tries in the process.
