We were delighted to welcome local councillors, Trevor Cessford and Suzanne Fairless-Aitken, to our first HMS School Council session of the year today.
Trevor and Suzanne shared their experiences of being on the Hexham Town Council and what their roles involve. There was an opportunity for pupils to ask questions and their new badges were presented.
Our pupils then discussed the key priorities for the year ahead including their community action and selecting which charities we’ll be supporting this year (whole school vote to follow!).
